OUR APPROACH…
Ecole Centrale Casablanca’s pedagogy is based on a system in which the company plays a leading role: student engineers are exposed to the professional world right from the start of their training at the school through projects, assignments, internships and conferences, all of which form an integral part of the program, enabling them to develop their professional skills and autonomy.
The main aim of the school-company relationship is to forge solid, lasting links in which the student-engineer, the company and the school pool their strengths and resources to serve their respective development, but also to respond to the broader issues that impact our society and our daily lives.
…CONCRETELY
In practice, opportunities for interaction are numerous, and a Centrale student-engineer can spend up to 26 months in a company during the 3 years of training at Ecole Centrale Casablanca:
1st year: 6-week work placement to discover the business world
After several months of teamwork at school on an “Enjeux” project (dealing with a real-life problem co-supervised by a company tutor and an academic tutor), the student engineer discovers the professional world where he or she occupies a position of executioner; this immersion makes him or her aware of the components of an organization and the interpersonal relationships that result from it.
Period: between mid-June and the end of August of the current year
2nd year: 14-week assistant engineer mission to better understand the engineer’s role
The student engineer carries out a technical mission in which he uses his scientific skills and proposes appropriate solutions. He or she is supervised by an engineer from the company and also benefits from tutoring from the school.
Period: between early April and mid-July of the current year
A gap year between the 2nd and 3rd year of the curriculum to develop your career plan
Engineering students have the option of suspending their training between the 2nd and 3rd years, in order to gain experience in a company or to carry out a project that will enable them to flesh out their future career plans. The gap year is optional, but it remains an excellent way for student engineers to discover the corporate world from the inside, to gain maturity and optimize their chances of recruitment at the end of their training.
Period: between early September of the current year and the following summer
