Ecole Centrale Casablanca is the fruit of a state-to-state partnership, signed in the presence of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and the President of the French Republic, François Hollande, in April 2013.
The governance of Ecole Centrale Casablanca is based on an original mechanism, managed by an ad-hoc foundation, and steered by a Board of Directors made up of independent personalities, representatives of CentraleSupélec, the Groupe des Ecoles Centrale and representatives of the Moroccan supervisory ministries (Ministry of Industry and Trade,, Ministry of the Economy and Finance; Ministry of Higher Studies, Scientific Research and Innovation).
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Chaired by Mr Ryad Mezzour, Minister of Industry and Commerce, the Board of Directors of the Fondation Ecole Centrale Casablanca has 17 members:
- Five (5) members (called “representatives”) appointed :
- One (1) by the Moroccan governmental authority in charge of finance;
- One (1) from the Moroccan governmental authority in charge of higher education;
- Two (2) by the Moroccan governmental authority in charge of industry, including the Minister in charge of industry;
- One (1) by the Office Marocain de Propriété Industrielle et Commerciale.
- Five (5) members (called “representatives”) appointed by CentraleSupélec, including the Director of CentraleSupélec.
- Three (3) appointed members intuitu personae (“qualified personalities”) from the world of business and finance, directors of public or private companies, chosen for their qualifications and skills:
- One (1) appointed by the governmental authority in charge of Industry in Morocco ;
- One (1) nominated by CentraleSupélec
- The President of the Association des Centraliens du Maroc; or any other member of the said association, mandated by the latter for this purpose.
- Two (2) appointed members intuitu personae (known as “qualified personalities”) for their academic and scientific experience in the ECC’s areas of expertise:
- One (1) appointed by the Moroccan governmental authority in charge of higher education;
- One (1) nominated by CentraleSupélec
- Two (2) members (“elected”) elected by ECC staff and students:
- One (1) by the staff ;
- One (1) by the students.
