MASTER 1 (60 ECTS)
The M1 constitutes a strong component of general microeconomics, macroeconomics and quantitative methods: all courses are specifically designed to prepare students for the economic analysis of public policy and development issues. It also offers courses in designing and evaluating public policy, complemented by a variety of policy topics and issues.
1 Single track proposed: Evidence based in development policy and design.
15 Mandatory fundamental courses: Probability, Inferential Statistics, Econometrics 1-2, Optimisation, Project Management, Socio-Economic Challenges in Africa, Introduction to Economic History and Development, Introduction to R, Data Analytics & Visualisation, Public Economics, Cost Benefit Analysis, Development Economics, Quantitative Research and Evaluation Methods in Social Sciences, Trade Policies and Development.
1 Research workgroup, to learn how to do research and start one’s research project.
2 Leadership Workshops, reflecting ECC’s hallmark.
1 Optional french course, for non french speaking candidates.
MASTER 2 (60 ECTS)
The second year offers in-depth and applied courses covering key policy challenges at national and global levels, as well as the latest policy evaluation best practices. Apart from four compulsory courses on general issues, the curriculum is individualized. Each student Is assisted over the year by a professional thesis supervisor.

4 Core courses in major fields of economics: Econometrics 3, Market Failure and Design, General Equilibrium Theory, Public Policy Analysis.
1 Project workgroup, to learn how to address development challenges.
3 Specialization courses: Migration and Demography, Environmental Economics, Political Economy: Conflict, Institutions, Media and Governance.
1 Leadership Workshop (cf Master 1)
1 Professional dissertation, related to a 6 months professional Internship.
DIPLOMA DELIVERED
Master of Science degree from the Ecole Centrale of Casablanca.
ADMISSION PREREQUISITES
The EDPD Master’s program is open to all students, Moroccan and foreign, who hold a bachelor degree or equivalent. in Economics or Applied Mathematics.
Applicants must have an advanced level in English.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates can pursue careers in various fields related to the development and public policy sectors, notably the implementation and evaluation of economic policies within public institutions, governmental and non governmental organizations, multilaterals or within development agencies among others. The Master also allows its graduates to join the private sector, within consulting and capacity strengthening firms, financial organizations, banks, insurance and large private companies.
